This is for the female people who has a small hand and living alone. There are many problem when they want to fix their interior or making the furniture.


WHAT I LEARN
I have learned that iterative usability testing and prototyping can uncover unexpected insights, and are essential practices that I plan to implement in all of my future work.

Research
Problems of tools

A staggering 74.5% of people said they must have tools at home, even if they don't use them often. However, the common issues female students faced while living alone was the usage and storage of tools. Not only did the tools take up a lot of room in the tight living spaces, but they also tended to be too large for women hands.

Design Solution 01
Ergonomic Product

To design tools that are comfortable to use with less effort, we researched the different hand shapes people hold, and identified where and how they exert effort when working with clay. Once we understood the pros and cons of each, we created a minimalist design for the four most used tools that focus on their primary function.

Light Weight Tools with Safety

Based on the research, we decide to design 4 tools that people often use. We design more simple these tool such as Hammer, Nail Holder, Drivers, and Spanners. Focusing on the feature they have, we are making this without any description how to use.

Interior tools

The tool itself is designed as an interior picture frame for storage in small spaces, or it can be placed on a bookshelf to maximize space. It is a great housewarming gift.
